The leading company in the sale of sports merchandising strengthens its position by acquiring 100 percent of the portal specialized in the marketing of football clothing and equipment
Calcioshop, an e-shop specialized in the marketing of clothing and football equipment, enters the galaxy of Epi, which with this acquisition strengthens its leadership in sports merchandising and gives life to a large group active internationally both in e-commerce and in the channel sports retail. The operation, carried out by taking over 100 percent of Free Time Management Group Srl, which has been managing Calcioshop for 16 years, is the fifth investment of the Industry 4.0 Fund, a private equity fund promoted and managed by Quadrivio Group which since 2020 also has in its portfolio Epi.
With 150 employees, over 700,000 orders processed per year and eight retail stores, including the recent reopening of the store inside the San Siro stadium, Epi closed its financial statements in June 2021 with a turnover of 28 million euros, up by 30 percent compared to the previous year, with the aim of reaching 50 million in the short term. In addition to encouraging the development of new partnerships, the acquisition of Calcioshop will lead to the launch of a new brand that will be presented in February 2022. Partner and authorized and certified online retailer of companies such as Nike, Adidas and Puma, with a selection of the best brands international, Calcioshop is the most visited football-themed e-commerce in Italy, with a focus strongly complementary to Epi’s core business.
